By Artist and Founder, Laura Prochowski.
After fifteen years illustrating and designing for celebrated fashion and interiors brands I felt the desire to tell a story of my own, to create something centred around my own values. Cooking and hosting brings me joy, taking care of the people I love, curating memorable gatherings and connecting people has always been a big part of my life.
Ritual Home began with a simple but meaningful intention, to create art-led, natural homewares that support a slower, more generous way of living. I wanted to design pieces that are not only beautiful, but purposeful, items that become part of everyday rituals, from quiet mornings to wine-filled social gatherings, long lunches to Sunday afternoon picnics.
Linen, a natural choice
Linen has been at the heart of Ritual Home from it's first conception. It’s one of the oldest and most sustainable textiles in the world, made from the flax plant, it’s durable, breathable, and fully biodegradable. Unlike synthetic fabrics, linen leaves a lighter footprint and becomes softer and more beautiful with time and use.
Linen is also practical. It holds dye beautifully, giving life to my bold prints and patterns. Whether I'm hosting friends or having a quiet lunch at home, I want my linen tablecloths and napkins to bring energy, colour, texture and warmth to the environment.
Designed to be used (and loved)
My collections are made to be lived with. I don’t believe in saving things 'for special occasions'. A shared meal with loved ones, a spontaneous glass of wine with a close confidant, a quiet mindful breakfast, these are the moments I design for.
Each piece is printed in small runs and made to be used and loved over time. They’re not just decorative. They’re durable, practical, and designed with consideration and care. I design for messy dinners, second servings, and nights that end with the sunrise.
Bold prints and living a generous life
My prints are expressive, rooted in nature, art and everyday abundance. They celebrate life, community and the beautiful world we live in. They are rich with life. I lean into unique colours and bold contrast because I believe our tables and homes should feel alive and exciting.
Ritual Home celebrates generosity of spirit and of time. Setting the table is more than placing plates; it’s about making people feel welcome. My homewares are made for gathering, hosting, and connecting, with our community and with the moment.
A slower way forward
Ritual Home is a growing brand, but our values remain rooted; slow production, natural materials, artist-led design, and a deep respect for the home as a space for connection and care.
We exist outside of the trend cycle, a quiet rebellion against throwaway culture and fast interiors. We produce in small batches, work with ethical suppliers, and believe brands should be responsible for the life cycle of a product they produce.
My pieces aren’t designed to be replaced. They’re designed to be worn out, to carry memories, and to become part of your home’s rhythm.
Whether you're laying a table for ten or folding a napkin for one, I hope my pieces bring beauty and meaning to your everyday.
Thank you for being here.
